Who is this for?
For 5- 8 year olds
We live in the wild, we’re called wild creatures,
We possess superpowers and extraordinary features!
We fly, we crawl, we slither, we swim,
We are far, far away from being proper and prim…
From the deepest oceans to the highest skies,
We’re found on trees and live under ice…
We’re called sticky and pricky and ‘eww, so icky’,
But once you know us, you too would want to be…

Weird and Wacky
Bobbing around in the vast vacuum of space is the beautiful little dot we call home. We’re not the only ones to keep our toothbrushes here! We’re lucky to be neighbours with all sorts of weird and wacky creatures! From tiny architectural wizards and light-producing phenomenons, to expert communicators of sounds, pheromones, songs and dances! These curious beings are uniquely adapted to occupy all corners of our planet, from the darkest depths of our oceans to the coldest heights of our mountains.
Long before the pandemic started, urban kids were already facing a disconnect with Nature. Now, more than ever, there is a need to reconnect children with Nature and to rekindle their fascination and love for the animals with whom they share this planet.
While we wait to go back outdoors, we’ve decided to bring the outdoors, inside!
With Weird & Wacky Wednesdays, we embark on a learning journey with kids to explore some of the coolest creatures of this planet, to learn from Nature and from these amazing beings.
If your child is between 5 to 8 years old and loves this planet, join us today to learn more about the fascinating world of the animal kingdom!
In order to keep each hour-long, weekly session interactive, we will limit participation to 10 children per session.

NISHA DSOUZA
Nisha started her career in the Simpson Desert in Australia, documenting its astonishing biodiversity with the Desert Ecology Group, University of Sydney. She went on to assess the impacts of dams on wetland species in New South Wales, with the Wilderness Society. Following a passion for marine conservation she managed IUCNs coastal projects for several years, before starting her own organisation, EcoNiche in 2019. She now spends her time working with partners to find innovative ways to protect our oceans!
NEHA KANDALGAOKAR
With an academic background in Zoology, Neha took a detour to work in the space of children’s content development with organisations like Young Explorer (children’s magazine), Tinkle, and Amar Chitra Katha and The Ideas Box ( a sister concern company of ACK Media) before coming back full circle to work at Journeys with Meaning (JwM) in the fields of Ecology and Sustainability, in 2013.
She conceptualized and founded JwM Juniors in 2015 as a platform to engage with students. Over the last 5 years, she has been designing learning journeys and engaging workshops, for children and young adults, to introduce them to environmental and social issues through experiential learning and hands-on activities.
In 2017, she led the Indian delegation of students as one of the two Delegation Leaders at the Seeds of Peace Camp, in Maine, USA.
